Borrowing and Returning Materials
Library materials may be checked out from the library circulation desk. You must present a DMACC library card when checking out or renewing materials. You may return library items to the circulation desk during library open hours or to our book drop located near the northwest entrance of the building.

Fines
Overdue fines should be paid at the time library materials are returned. Unpaid fines will be billed to your DMAC account along with a $5.00 processing fee. DMACC faculty and staff are exempt from overdue fines, but are assessed replacement costs for materials not returned.

Replacement costs for lost or damaged items will be billed to your DMACC account along with a $10 processing fee.

Food, Beverage,Tobacco
Food is not allowed in the library or computer lab. Covered drinks are allowed in the library only. Beverages are not allowed in the computer lab. Smoking is not allowed in the library or the computer lab.

Cell Phones
The library is a quiet area for student and faculty to study and do research. Please turn off cell phones or place them on silent ring. Cell phone conversations must be taken outside the library/computer lab.

Emergencies
Tornado: The audio signal is a pulsating siren. If this warning is sounded, proceed immediately out of the library to an interior hallway. Stay away from windows.

Fire: The fire alarm is a steady siren. If this warning is sounded proceed to the nearest fire exit (emergency exit in the computer lab or the exit on the northwest corner of the building) to an area at least 100 ft away from the building. Fire fighters will issue an 'all clear' when it is safe to re-enter the building.

Disturbances: Report disturbances to library staff who will report such incidences to the appropriate authorities.
