Duffy to play for Mount Mercy
Mount Mercy women’s basketball coach Shawn Stimmel has announced the signing of Emily Duffy to a letter of intent. Duffy, who prepped at Oelwein High School, spent the last two seasons at Des Moines Area Community College playing for Steve Krafcisin.
While at DMACC, she helped lead the team to a 44-20 record over two years. “Emily will be a nice addition to our program,” commented Stimmel. “She comes from a very good program and understands what it takes to be successful at this level. I’m expecting her to contribute immediately and play a big part in our success.”
Duffy averaged 9 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists per game this season, while shooting 37% on three point field goals. Mount Mercy finished their season 21-9 and was ranked in the NAIA Top 25.
