Hagedorn to Play at DMACC

Hagedorn averaged 16.9 points and 6.4 steals for the Wolves.  Her steals were the second highest in the state among all classes. Hagedorn was the starting point guard for the 2009 Class 1A State Champions and the 2007 Class 1A State Finalist. 

Hagedorn is the only female graduate from I-K-M and Manning High School to letter (17) in every sport and go to state in four sports (basketball, track, softball and volleyball) during her high school career.

In her four years at I-K-M Manning, Hagedorn scored 1,089 points, had 442 steals and 364 assists while leading the Wolves to an 86-19 record.  She leaves as the second highest all-time scorer at her high school.  She holds numerous school records including tied for most points in a single game (32), career and season best records in three point percentage and free throw percentage, and single game, season, and career records in assists, three-pointer made and steals.  

Hagedorn received the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award, the highest award given to a high school athlete.  She was the winner for the state of Iowa out of 120 female student-athletes.

She was a Third Team All-State selection as named by the Iowa Newspaper Association and Des Moines Register and a Second Team All-State selection from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.  In addition, she was a First-Team All-Conference, All-District and All-Region selection.

Hagedorn has been on the National Honor Society and Student Council for two years.             

“Ashley is one of the most exciting players to watch play basketball,” said DMACC Women’s Head Basketball Coach Steve Krafcisin.  “She makes things happen on the court.  I am very impressed by her excellence on and off the court. I feel she has had an amazing high school career in all sports and activities and I feel very fortunate to have Ashley come represent DMACC.”
