Coleman is one of only seven players in Iowa girls 5-on-5 basketball history to reach 1,100 career rebounds.

Coleman averaged 22.8 points and 19.1 rebounds this season for the Trojannettes. She had the best rebound average in the state for all classes. Coleman scored more than 1.300 points and had more than 1,100 rebounds in her four years at Essex. She is one of only seven players in Iowa girls 5-on-5 basketball history to reach 1,100 rebounds in a career.

Coleman was a Second Team All-State selection in both her junior and senior seasons. She was also a three-time First Team All-Conference selection, including a unanimous selection during her junior and senior years. She was also the SWI Player of the Year in 2010.

“Joscelyn is a gifted athlete with an uncanny ability to score and rebound,” said DMACC Women’s Head Basketball Coach Steve Krafcisin. “Jos can score, pass and is a relentless rebounder. She had an unbelievable high school career and I am looking forward to seeing her develop at the college level.”
