Schmidt to Play Volleyball at DMACC
Benton High School senior Chloe Schmidt (front row, third from left) signs a national letter of intent to play volleyball next year at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). Schmidt was a WaMaC Honorable Mention selection in 2009. The two-time varsity letter winner was the 2010 Benton varsity team captain. She was named to the All Conference WaMaC Second Team and to the Class 3A All-District Team.
“Chloe is a very strong, physical middle hitter who will significantly help the Boone Bears this coming fall,” said DMACC Head Volleyball Coach Patty Harrison.
Schmidt joins the Bears, who have advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Volleyball Tournament four of the last five years. The Bears had a 26-15 overall record in 2010.
