Vondrak, a 6’ 0” outside hitter, has been on the varsity squad since her freshman year. She helped Sioux City Bishop Heelan win state volleyball championships in 2006 and 2007, be a semi-finalist in 2008 and a state runner-up in 2009. As a senior, Vondrak was named to the First Team All-District and First Team All-Region Teams. She was a Second Team All-Conference selection as a junior and a First Team All-Conference selection as a senior. She was also named to the Third Team All-State Team and was later named to the Second Team All-State Team.
As a senior, Vondrak was a First Team All-Metro selection, a CYO All-Tournament Team selection and named to the 2009 Senior Class All Stars. She was also a Player of the Week selection by the Sioux City Journal.
Vondrak excelled in other sports as well. She helped Bishop Heelan win the state basketball tournament in 2008 and 2010 and was named to numerous All-Tournament teams in that sport, too. Vondrak is the daughter of Curt and Susan Vondrak.
She joins the Bears, who have advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Volleyball Tournament for the past four consecutive years. The Bears finished fifth in the national tournament and had a 44-9 overall record in 2009.
