Schill to Play Golf at DMACC

Nate SchillPrairie Valley High School senior Nate Schill (left) signs a national letter of intent to play golf next year at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). Joining Schill in the signing ceremony is DMACC Men’s Golf Coach Larry Briley.

Schill holds the career scoring record at 75.8 strokes per round for Prairie Valley High School in Gowrie. He is a two-time Iowa Lakes Conference champion and also a two-time state place winner in Class 2A, finishing in sixth place in 2009 and fifth in 2010.

Schill was the runner-up in the junior division of the Iowa Masters Golf Tournament in 2009, posting scores of 73-73-75 on the par 72 Veenker Memorial Golf Course on the Iowa State University campus.

Schill was a three-year starter on the Prairie Valley football team and was the team captain as a senior. He was named to the All-District Team in his senior season.

He was also a two-year starter on the basketball team, a member of the student council and named to the school honor roll.

Schill is the son of Rachel and Tom Schill.
