A Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Boone Bear’s Men’s Basketball player has been named a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Third Team All-American. Scott Windom of Cartersville, GA was named to the All-American team. Windom is a freshman.
Earlier in the year, Windom was named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II Men’s All-Region First Team. He was also named ICCAC player of the week twice this season.
“Scott is a good player who only got better as the season progressed,” said DMACC Head Men’s Basketball Coach Orv Salmon. “He is a hard working and conscientious young man who will have a better season next year.”
Windom, a 6’ 5” forward, led the Bears in scoring averaging 15.1 points per game while connecting on 59 percent of his field goal attempts. He also led the team in rebounds, averaging 7.2 rebounds per contest.
