Division II Men’s Basketball: George Pruitt – DMACC Position: Guard
Our DII Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week is George Pruitt from Des Moines Area CC. this past weekend he led the Bears to a 3-0 record, racking up wins against Wilbur Wright 82-63, Rock Valley 76-41, and Parkland 80-70 in the Milwaukee Tournament. In those three games he averaged 21 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1.3 steals highlighted by a 32 point performance against Parkland. Originally from St. Louis, MO, where he received 1st Team All-Conference award as a senior and 2nd Team All-Conference award as a sophomore. Recently George has just signed a national letter of intent to continue his basketball career at the University of Tennessee-Martin a DI school out of the Ohio Valley conference.
