DMACC Alumni Association Scholarships
Almost 400 students have received scholarships and grants ranging from $100 to $1,200 since the first Alumni Challenge Phonathon was held in 1982. The Association awards scholarships each Spring semester.
The following scholarships are currently available for each Spring Semester (applications due during Fall Semester)

Full- and Part-time scholarships
Criteria for eligibility:
- 12 credit hours completed at DMACC at time of application
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (verified by Student Records)
- U.S. Citizen
- *Verifiable volunteer involvement
- *Verifiable involvement in community and/or college organizations
*attach copies of certificates/commendations received or letters of reference
Twelve scholarships up to $1,200 each will be awarded to full-time students (must have earned 12 credits at DMACC, be enrolled currently for a minimum of 12 credits and enroll for 12 more credits spring semester.)
Five scholarships up to $700 each will be awarded to part-time students (must have earned 12 credits at DMACC, be enrolled currently for six to eleven credits, and enroll for six to eleven credits spring semester.)
Students in their first semester are not eligible for this scholarship.

The Jolynn DeFrancisco Memorial Nursing Scholarship
The Jolynn DeFrancisco Memorial Nursing Scholarship was founded in 1984 in memory of Jolynn DeFrancisco, 1955-1984, a 1980 graduate of the DMACC Associate Degree Nursing program. This memorial scholarship was established to assist a deserving student in the field of nursing each year to carry on the important mission of the profession to which Jolynn dedicated her brief life.
To be eligible for this award, you must be enrolled in all required courses for graduation in the Associate Degree Nursing program, Ankeny Campus, entering your final semester, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA in the program (verified by Student Records office). The award, not to exceed $1,300, will be applied directly toward tuition, fees and required books for spring semester. Any excess may be applied to Board fee, and/or pinning and capping fees.
