MIS Degree with New Informatics track Fall 2011
The Management
Information Systems (MIS) degree is designed to allow students to transfer
to a four-year program and additionally qualifies students for positions as
programmers and information technology specialist. The program offers two tracks
with the Programming/Database track emaphasizing business applications
programming. The student studies several programming languages, various levels
of operating systems, database systems and the peripheral equipment available in
the field. If the student selects the Informatics track
they learn to use technology to advance the needs of businesses. Students master
the tools of
Informatics specialists learning to provide technical assistance, support, and
advice to individuals and organizations that depend on information technology.
