Geer Leads DMACC Women's Golf Team to AIB Fall Invitational Title
Freshman Jenny Geer of Clarinda captured medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 172 and led the DMACC women’s golf team to the team championship at the AIB Fall Invitational Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora.
Geer turned in 18-hole rounds of 87 and 85 to come away with a one-stroke advantage over Kara Larson of AIB in the individual competition. DMACC finished with a team score of 734 and a five-stroke advantage over American Institute of Business (AIB). Graceland University finished third at 774.
Other DMACC scores included a 179 by freshman Kelsie Berke of Algona; a 187 by freshman Kaitlyn Friday of Pleasantville; a 198 by freshman Laura Richter of Bancroft; and a 207 by sophomore Anna Hoss of Spirit Lake. Berke finished fourth overall, Friday placed sixth, Richter finished 11th and Hoss finished 13th.
The tournament closed out the fall season for the DMACC women’s golf team.
