Walker Signs Play at DMACC
Exira High School Basketball player Ann Walker (right) signs a national letter of intent to play basketball at DMACC as Head Women’s Basketball Coach Steve Krafcisin watches the signing. Walker helped the Vikettes win the Class 1A State Girls Basketball Tournament by making the winning basket.
Walker averaged 12.7 points and five assists for the 2010 1A State Girls Basketball Champions. She helped lead the Vikettes to an undefeated 26-0 season.
Walker was named a First Team All-Conference selection in both her junior and senior years. She was also named to the 2010 1A State All-Tournament Team, thanks in part, by making the winning basket to win the state championship.
Walker is also the Student Council President at Exira High School.
“Ann is a skilled perimeter player who is athletic and thinks the game very well,” said DMACC Women’s Head Basketball Coach Steve Krafcisin. “She can make plays on both ends of the court and will excel at the college level.”
