Wood Named ICCAC Athlete of the Week for Nov. 17

Sophomore Katlyn Wood of Monroe has been named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for women’s basketball for the week of November 17.
On Nov. 12, Wood, a forward, led Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) to a 65-57 win against Northeast Nebraska Community College with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The following day, Wood tallied 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked seven shots as the Bears defeated North Platte Community College, 56-50.
Wood is a Health Science major at DMACC and is planning to continue her education and play basketball at a four-year university.
