I-35's Olivia Sulentic to Play Volleyball at DMACC

Sulentic, a four-year starter for the Roadrunners, is the third prep volleyball player signed by DMACC volleyball coach Patty Harrison this fall, joining Sara Jesse of LaPorte City Union High School and Kenna Moechnig of Chatfield, Minn., High School.

“Olivia is an outstanding volleyball player and will strengthen our front line,” Harrison said. “She has the potential to step in and make an immediate impact.”

Sulentic led I-35 to a 21-15 record this fall and topped the Roadrunners in kills (329), digs (268) and blocks (171). She hit .448 on the season and also had 46 ace serves. Her blocking total included 83 solo blocks and she led the state in blocks.

Sulentic capped the season by being a unanimous selection to the Pride of Iowa All-Conference First team. She was also a first-team selection as a junior and a second-team selection as a sophomore. She was also an all-district selection this past season and was named to the all-state third team.

Sulentic also participates in basketball and softball at I-35. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is a nine-year 4-H member.
