DMACC Volleyball Team to Host 2011 Summer Camps

The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Women’s Volleyball team will host three specialty and two team-based summer camps for middle school and high school girls interested in learning the fundamentals of volleyball. Participants will receive thorough instruction and individual attention.
Specialty camps will take place Wed., July 13 through Fri., July 15 from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the DMACC Boone Campus Gym. Camps are open to participants in grades 7-12. Participants can register for any or all three camps.
The cost of registration for one camp is $30, $50 for two camps and $70 for all three. Each day focuses on a different position:
• Hitter/Blocker- Wed., July 13
• Setter- Thur., July 14
• DS/Libero- Fri., July 15
Team-based camps will take place Fri., Aug. 5 and Sat., Aug. 6 from 8:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the DMACC Boone Campus Gym. Camps are open to junior varsity and varsity teams but there is a limit of 10 teams per day. The cost is $100 per team.
Team work days are:
• JV Teams- Fri., Aug. 5
• Varsity Teams- Sat., Aug. 6
DMACC Volleyball coaches and staff will assist with instruction during each camp. Registration is limited to the first 75 applicants and all participants will receive a t-shirt. For more information, contact Rayna Cain at (712) 259-0696.
