Shelby DeNeice of Iowa City High School Signs National Letter of Intent to Play for DMACC

Shelby DeNeice (front row, left) of Iowa City City High School signs a national letter of intent to play volleyball at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC). Shelby DeNeice was a three-year letter winner for City High. She competed in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Volleyball tournament two years and was on the 2006 State Volleyball Championship Team. She was named the Iowa City Press Citizen Player of the Week, was a First Team All Conference and First Team All Area selection, was named to the 4A High School State Volleyball All-Tournament Team and was a 4A All-State Volleyball Third Team selection. In addition, DeNeice was named to the PrepVolleyball.com Molten Improvement Team and was the City High Most Valuable Player in 2006 and co-captain of the 2006 team.

DeNeice will play for the DMACC Bears, who advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Volleyball National Tournament this past year.
