DMACC Baseball Opens Home Season
The 4th ranked DMACC Bears will open the home season on Saturday, March 27 against Iowa Lakes CC. The first game of the doubleheader will start at 1 pm. The games will be the first ever played on the newly constructed baseball field on the Boone campus.
The Bears enter the weekend with an overall record of 14-4. Dan Fitzgerald’s team is led in hitting by Hector Ponce with a batting average of .526. Nick Anderson is second on the team hitting .438. DMACC has an overall team batting average of .370.
The DMACC team has won consecutive trips to the NJCAA World Series in Enid, Oklahoma. The games this weekend start Region XI play for the Bears.
